US Foundation News

UWC Atlantic College’s US Foundation board is pleased to announce a new partnership with the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF)
Based in New York, BSUF have a history of supporting British schools, colleges and universities since 1964. BSUF is a registered 501 (c) (3) organisation in the U.S. which means that gifts can be made tax-effectively for U.S. taxpayers.
The Foundation has taken the decision to work with BSUF in an effort to reduce the significant administrative burden involved in running our own 501 (c) (3). Our Foundation is run by a volunteer group of loyal and hardworking supporters of Atlantic College and their success in raising funds for the College had led to an increase in the amount of administration needing to be done by the Foundation.
Partnering with BSUF will free up a considerable amount of time for the Foundation volunteers that will enable us to concentrate on alumni relations, events and raising even more funds to support scholarships at UWC Atlantic College.
Gifts can be made to BSUF by downloading the donor transmittal form from the Donate section of our website – please ensure you make your gift with a preference for UWC Atlantic College – this will ensure it reaches the College. Alternatively, you can donate to the BSUF online via the Network for Good website – again, please designate your gift to UWC Atlantic College to ensure the gift goes to the College.

The Foundation will continue to run as normal for the time being and the officers remain the same. If you have any queries or questions please do get in touch with us, either at the US Foundation or with the College Development Office.
In a nutshell:
- Gifts to the College from US taxpayers will now be made via BSUF “with preference for UWC Atlantic College”
- BSUF will provide receipts which can be used on your next tax return.
