UWC Atlantic College exists to bring together promising, talented and deserving young people from across the globe and from all walks of life and to provide them with a unique educational opportunity. The deliberate diversity of its student body represents a key feature of the UWC Atlantic College experience which is designed to promote peace, international understanding and to challenge young people to embrace difference, responsibility and initiative.

A registered charity, the college receives no public funding and relies on gifts and donations from generous benefactors and Alumni. Gifts can be designated in the following ways;

• College Bursary Fund – This provides bursaries for the next generation of talented and deserving UWC Atlantic College students
• “Area of Greatest Need” - Designating your gift to the “Area of Greatest Need” allows the college flexibility to use your donation where the needs are greatest and where it will have the largest impact.
• Sunley Appeal - Replacement of student posession, enhancements to the rebuild/refurbishment of Sunley, any remainder to be used at the college's descretion to improve the boarding experience of all students.

We remain extremely grateful to the numerous Alumni, Friends, Trusts, Foundations and Corporations who believe in the UWC Atlantic College mission. Their generosity and often long-term commitment is vital to the college and its future development, particularly as UWC Atlantic College moves towards its fiftieth anniversary in 2012.

UWC Atlantic College Alumni, individually and collectively are currently providing financial support for 19 students at the college. They also recently funded the refurbishment of one of the college's original student houses and a new environmentally-friendly Biomass heating system at the college.
