Atlantic College exists to bring together promising, talented and deserving young people from across the globe and from all walks of life and to provide them with a unique educational opportunity. The deliberate diversity of its student body represents a key feature of the Atlantic College experience which is designed to promote international understanding and to challenge young people to embrace difference, responsibility and initiative. It is an education which encourages students to work together to serve others and which nurtures individuals who are well-prepared to be leaders in whatever areas of endeavour they choose.

A registered charity, the College receives no public funding and relies on gifts and donations from generous benefactors and Alumni. Gifts are usually allocated to the College's Bursary Fund, as approximately 60% of the College's student body receives some kind of financial support.  Alternatively, donations may be used for specific Capital Campaigns or Programmes. 

We remain extremely grateful to the numerous Trusts, Foundations, Corporations and Individuals who support Atlantic College. Their generosity and often long-term commitment is vital to the College and its future development, particularly as Atlantic College moves towards its fiftieth anniversary in 2012.  The support of Atlantic College alumni is equally heartening and encouraging. Our alumni currently provide funding for 19 bursaries at the College. They also recently financed the refurbishment of one of the College's original student houses and a new environmentally-friendly Biomass heating system at the College.
