My name is Andrea Diez de Sollano and for those of you who don’t already know me, I am Director of the Philanthropy, Partnerships and Engagement Team (PPE), formerly known as the Development department. Now with two offices, in Wales and in London, the team has been re-organised and re-purposed to support the new strategy and direction for the College. The team continues to expand as we develop a new and inspiring engagement programme for Alumni, and find new ways for you to connect with the College to help us shape the way forward.
We’d like you to join us on this journey. With an alumni network of over 9000 incredible people, if we can find exciting and rewarding ways to harness this collective talent, experience and expertise, we can all create a positive and sustainable impact on the future of the College.

We would like to reach out to you and to new audiences whose thinking, values and mission in life align with those of the UWC movement - to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. This drives everything we have done and will continue to do. Our ‘Vision to Action’ initiative - and right now it’s all about the action - is at the heart of the College’s transformation

So what is this transformation about?

It’s about People.

We want to deliver a future for our students and equip these extraordinary young people

not just with the tools and the skills they’ll need to solve the pressing challenges that face global

society, but with a spirit of resilience and perspective that will take them that much further in their endeavours.

It’s all about Purpose.

It is now time for the next bold innovation in progressive, values-based global education. UWC Atlantic, and the wider UWC global educational movement, are uniquely qualified and placed to develop and deliver a pioneering new curricular approach. With the appointment of our new Director of Learning Innovation, Shaun Mcinerney, and the development of a unique Changemaker Curriculum,  we’re turning the educational tide once more.

It’s all about Place.

Our sense of our magical place grounds us. We are very much ‘of’ Wales, not just ‘in’ Wales and we want to ensure we respect the history of our unique environment and are thoughtful about the footprint we leave on it, while exploring to its fullest the richness the campus

brings to our student experience.

Our team is growing, and every member would be more than happy to talk to you about ways in which you can engage with us.
