Good leadership is crucial in our complex world where we all face many problems. ASfYL provides short intensive courses to help to develop the leadership skills of young people from across the globe.
Atlantic School for Young Leaders sets out to provide unique leadership programmes against the international backdrop of the UWC experience. They create stimulating and supportive environments for aspiring young leaders, from a wide variety of backgrounds and from across the globe, to grow their practical, conceptual and emotional leadership skills.
The courses engage with young people to foster the confidence, knowledge, sensitivity, ambition and responsibility to successfully lead positive change, in whatever discipline, and what ever location, they choose to operate. We provide ongoing networks of support and aim to build a community of thinkers and doers committed to innovative and ethical leadership, open to all.
The courses are taught on behalf of ASfYL by the Critical Engagement (CE) training group. This small team, made up of former students of United World Colleges, has been delivering its workshops in a variety of settings for the past eight years.
