Moroccan Summer Project

08 Aug

Seven UWC Atlantic College students spent three weeks in Marrakech in July painting a primary school and volunteering in the restaurant of the Amal Women's Organisation. The project was led by Hind Ait Mout, class of 2017, from Morocco. The other students who participated were Prashant Baguant, class of 2017 from Mauritius,  Aida-Lena Ndiaye, Class of 2017 from Belgium/ Senegal, Marco Mattia, class of 2017 from Italy, Iman Mbaye, class of 2017 from Senegal, Jan-Willem Schaap, class of 2017 from the Netherlands and Tamas Vincze, class of 2017 from Hungary, who all enjoyed extending their services beyond Atlantic College and the local Welsh community. The project not only improved the students' communication and organisational skills, but their perseverance and resistance much needed in the 45-degree heat.
