UWC Atlantic College, founded in 1962, is the original United World College. Enjoying a spectacular location at St. Donat’s Castle, perched above the Bristol Channel approximately 20 miles west of Cardiff, our 380 students are drawn from over 90 countries, with many attending on scholarship and all of them taking part in a well-developed co-curricular programme.
Responsible for a maintenance budget of approximately £450,000 per annum, you will lead the repairs and maintenance function ensuring all maintenance is delivered to time, cost and quality standards.
Your extensive knowledge and experience in managing and delivering maintenance programmes and projects will ensure that they are managed effectively and that contracts follow all required corporate procedures and achieves value for money.
Highly organised, with significant practical experience of managing maintenance / refurbishments and ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are adhered to, your self-motivation and initiative mean that you have a demonstrable desire to succeed and achieve results.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills ensure that you are able to relate to people at all levels and react calmly in challenging situations. A positive, professional and can do approach is absolutely essential as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will have excellent IT skills and be familiar with a range of applications including CAD, Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
