On the afternoon of Tuesday 21 November the Dutch Ambassador to the UK, Simon Smits gave a lecture to the students of UWC Atlantic College on the topic of Britain leaving the European Union.
All staff are students were able to attend the lecture in the Bradenstoke Hall called, “Brexit and the Netherlands openness to welcoming non-EU knowledge migrants into the country.”
Throughout this lecture, Mr Smits informed the students on the history of Britain joining the European Union in 1973, the UK joining the common market, the referendum on Thursday 23 June 2016, and the two year transformation of the Britain leaving the European Union.
The lecture then followed with a Q&A session from the students and staff to His Excellency.
