Jill's Swim from Europe to Asia

Jill swims from Europe to Asia

On Sunday 30 August, UWC Atlantic College alumna and Vice Chair of the UWC International Board, Jill Longson swam across the Dardanelles. The swim is a total length of 4.5km in sea conditions you wouldn't want to sail in, and the shipping lanes are closed for only 90 minutes to get across. Jill’s swim raised money for UWC Costa Rica and UWC Mostar. Jill’s swim is a great example of putting the UWC value personal challenge into action.

We are proud of Jill's dedication to the ideals we all hold dear and her adventurous spirit.

Jill also chairs the UWC Community Engagement Initiative, bringing the UWC community together to make more impact and is co-founder of GoMAD (Go Make a Difference).
