ALP Brecon Beacons Walk

WW2 Canadian Plane Crash Site

This past weekend, 14 ALP (Adventure Leadership Programme) students and two staff completed their annual expedition to the western Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons national park. This is the culmination of the students training period and involved a day’s walking and navigation training, followed by an overnight wild/wilderness camp and a walk back to civilisation the following day. The students covered over 11 Km of walking carrying all their supplies in very mixed weather which included, snow and hail storms, wind, rain and some Welsh sun as well as very cold overnight temperatures.
