Making a Difference

Go Make a Difference presentations with Jill Longson (UWC Atlantic College) class of 1981

Congratulations to all the amazing students for their project ideas and who were successfully awarded a grant this year - to make their ideas become reality.

GoMakeADifference was created by Colin Habgood and his wife Jill Longson (UWC Atlantic College), class of 1981 in 2001, to provide grants to UWC Atlantic College students. The concept allowed UWC Atlantic College students an opportunity to make a difference and put into practice the ideals of UWC. In 2016, the award was rolled out to all UWC Schools and Colleges, with 20 grants of £1000 each being made available to help students make a difference.

We look forward to hearing more about what the projects are and the outcomes in the coming months.

Jill was on campus today. Here is Jill with some of the awarded students this year.

Well done guys!

‘From the person who donated £20, to the person who donated £2000 - thank you. I am extremely grateful and indebted… I will do everything in my power to make sure that the contribution made is going to mean something more…’
