UWC Atlantic College has launched its new Global Leadership Programme (GLP) 2018 running 30 July – 12 August 2018 at St Donat’s Castle, WALES, UK
The Programme is open to 15 -18 year olds and Applications are currently OPEN!
This two week Programme is £2,700 GBP and includes programme content and delivery, excursions, full-board accommodation, outdoor activities and equipment.
The GLP is an intensive, interactive and experiential learning summer programme that aims to strengthen the role that young people play as leaders in their community and beyond. The Programme is a unique blend of indoor and outdoor learning that develops leadership skills around critical thinking and skill building, design thinking and working in diverse teams.
You should apply if you are interested in a challenging and innovative learning experience with an international group of staff and peers.
We will look at how economic thinking is moving in the direction of sustainability, equality and new measures of performance and success
We will teach you how to organize your time and work, how to develop your leadership styles and how to work well in teams and have impact
By participating in outdoor adventurous activities you will interact with the natural environment as well as learn trust, respect, resilience and how to challenge yourself through positive risk taking
There will be a final project to a panel where participants will share learnings from their teamwork
With over 50 years experience, the UWC movement brings an international understanding to its communities through sharing traditions and cultures from around the world

GLP is an in-house Programme created by UWC Atlantic College based on its unique mission and values. The setting includes the historic St Donat’s Castle situated on the South Wales coastline. It is located on the side of a steep wooded valley, with terraced gardens sloping southwards down to the sea.
