On the 19 May (Saturday) the Leavers Ceremony took place in the Moondance Sport shall on campus at UWC Atlantic College. With over 700 visitors including parents, students, staff and friends, the sun shone as guests met in the Glass room at the reception in the Arts Centre.
Everyone made their way to the ceremony where guests were entertained by student performances, the first year address and second year response including an inspiring speech by returning Alumnus – Ruth Rawling. Peter T Howe, Principal, spoke about his vision for the future and paid tribute to long serving staff.
Students followed the ceremony with the Atlantic tradition of the Guard of Honour where first year students, joined by parents, lined the pathway for second year students to walk through.
A buffet was served on the Top Lawn to bring a close to a glorious day.
Graduation brings about reflection and, as our class of 2018 ends one journey and embarks on another, they can now take a breath, pause and take a look back over their time at UWC Atlantic College.
Well done Class of 2018!
