UWC Atlantic College is always developing ways of broadening the horizons of our school and those of our current students. We have embarked upon a number of projects and initiatives which help us to make a real impact in the wider world. A large educational element of this is encapsulated in our commitment to Life-Long Service. We encourage an attitude, along with the necessary skills, which students will then take with them and build upon throughout their lives. There are a number of outreach programmes and initiatives which students can get involved with whilst at the college.
- The Associated Schools Programme (ASP) and Inter-Cultural Engagement – Working with young people and schools throughout Britain, and especially those in areas of social deprivation.
- United World Schools (UWS) – Working to bring education to places and cultures around the world where this has not been readily available, e.g. Cambodia, Burma, etc.
- Vale for Africa – A local Welsh NGO that has continued to build strong ties with a less-developed region of Uganda. Partnerships and projects with established organisations such as Oxfam, The British Council, Save the Children, Ashoka, etc.
