The US Foundation builds community and support in the US among Atlantic College alumni, parents, supporters, and friends.
The US Foundation needs the participation and support of all US-based alumni. If you would like to get involved contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
In December 2007, the US foundation raised its first scholarship to UWC Atlantic College, thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, and supporters of the school and its mission. The foundation is committed to keep funding this scholarship by soliciting on-line giving by alumni, parents, and friends of UWC Atlantic College.
Support is also offered through activities organized and hosted in various cities in the US. Past events include New York dinners and receptions for New York based alumni. Additional dinners have been sponsored at the British Embassy in Washington, DC and receptions in San Francisco.
The US Foundation is a 501-c (3) public charity, which means that gifts made by US tax payers are tax free to the extent permitted by law. All gifts are acknowledged in writing.
In 2006, the US Foundation launched the UWC Speakers Series in New York for UWC Atlantic College alumni and other UWC graduates to gather and share experiences of mutual interest.
The first Speakers Series event was a talk by Guido Schmidt-Traub, UWC Atlantic College alumnus, about the United Nations millennium project.
