UWC Atlantic College offers an exciting, inspiring and transformational education for students.
The curriculum includes the International Baccalaureate and a co-curricular programme, based on the college’s history of experiential learning. Teachers are here to liberate the learner and to help them to process ideas critically as opposed to teaching them to pass an exam. Our students learn skills and acquire tools that enable them to make a difference in the world over the course of their career. They become part of the International UWC community, taking their learning out into the world to change it for the better.
The castle, here on campus, has a history going back 800 years and the college itself has been here for over 50 years. In a stimulating and yet safe and secure environment, with our students' health, happiness, wellbeing and safety at its centre, UWC Atlantic College is proud to develop a unique peer group of potential change makers, ground breakers, risk takers, idea generators, future shapers and innovators drawn from all levels of society and drawn towards a shared purpose – to embody the global UWC spirit, to challenge cynicism with courage, action and belief and to lead inspired new thinking.
I hope the information on our website about our students, teachers, alumni and the learning that takes place at UWC Atlantic College provides you with a good insight into what makes us unique.
Welcome to UWC Atlantic College.
